Page Six, The End

Queen Alma and her babies keep running, she doesn’t stop, not once, even if she knew what was to come.

She leaps…

And a voice cries out loud, louder than the roaring waves.

“FLY, ALMA!!! FLYYYYYY!!!”

And so she did.

The light of the brightest star in the dawning sky shines upon her and the Lowfti, and they begin to lift from the ground, tumbling off of the cliff before sprouting round wings. Alma herself grew larger, her wings and ears feathered wide as the sea’s bluster let her shoot off into the sky. Their legs vanished, and the Lowfti were no more, the Blofti were born!

The king, and all his corceïs, sprinted off the cliff in their blind greed, and were lost to the turbulent sea below.

“Look at me!” Queen Alma sang happily. “I’m flying!! We’re flying high in the sky!! Now my children will be safe!! We will sleep in the clouds, dance under the stars! Never again will a Blofti ever touch the ground until the land is safe to stand on once more, until there is no more foul-hearted greed in the heart of any living creature!

“Alma! You’re flying!” Altair jumped with joy upon his ledge at the end of the land. “You look beautiful!!! I promise to do my very best to make this world safe for you once more! I will correct the evils my father has wrought, but where will you go now?”

“Wherever the wind leads us!” Alma sang and twirled, “To see places never fathomed before! Prince Altair, thank you!! Goodbye!” The winds of the sea started to carry her flock far away.

“Goodbye!!”

Prince Altair, now king, would never again see Queen Alma in his lifetime, but he nonetheless kept and held fast to the promises he made her, using his power to heal the land and protect the creatures who remained.

Queen Alma has never forgotten the kind deed and the powerful wish the Prince had given to her and the Blofti. So, she lets her many children visit us once a year during the spring season, to see all the love and kindness in our hearts!

Always remember, young fawn, to do kindly to others as you would have them do unto you. Hold love for all of life and the creatures and plants of the earth. With your help, perhaps one day, Queen Alma will return as well.
