Chapter 7: Domesticated Gaïshon

One of the most common large animals in Postinen, with many different breeds of Gaïshon that are used for different purposes: mounts, pets, livestock, entertainment, etc.
A wild version of Gaïshon has been found in the Wastelands decades ago, not much is known about them.
They can live up to 60 years, reaching full sexual maturity in their fourth year of life.
Physical Description
- Only come in natural colors (unless they have the "shiny" mutation).
- Can have all sorts of natural markings but stripes and spots.
- Their eyes can be any color with dark scleras. Rectangular pupils.
- They can have multiple types of horns, with different shapes and sizes, but always smooth and without extra points.
- Their coat can also vary a lot from region.
- All Gaïshon must have long fangs, usually used to intimidate others.
- Their size can vary a lot depending on the breed, usually, the max they can reach in height is about 14ft and 2 tons, and the smallest, 5 ft.
- Males usually have larger horns that are pointed forward.
Behaviors
- Herbivore.
- Temperament varies a lot from breed to breed, some are extremely social and sweet, while others are very aggressive.
- Can have up to 2 calves during one pregnancy.
Maintenance
- They need large areas of land with lots of short vegetation for them to eat, most Gaïshon owners will leave them at private stables, were they get to socialize with other Gaïshon.
Habitat
- Temperate plains, but can also do very well in colder regions.
