A small mammalian creature with some insectoid traits, often called Skitterbeasts. They are intelligent and crafty, with opposable thumbs that allow them to pick things up and manipulate them with dexterity. While they were once considered very valuable pets to keep because of their many useful traits, most people view them as pests in the modern day.

Dearainmhí have been found in the Wastelands, but some seem... Different.

They can live up to 7 years in the wild, reaching full sexual maturity in their first year of life. In captivity, they can live up to 20 years.

Physical Description

• Only come in grey, white, brown, and dark colors (unless they have the "shiny" mutation).
• Can have any kind of natural markings.
• Their eyes can be any bright or light color (unless they have the "shiny" mutation). Their pupils can be any shape and they do not have visible scleras
• Can have all sorts of coats, tail sizes, and even curled or folded ears.
• Comes in 5 subtypes:
  
• Body length of about 4'5ft long, and weighs about 20 lbs.
• Their tail can naturally glow as they wish, usually during mating season.
• There is no visible sexual dimorphism between males and females.

Behaviors

• They feed from nectar and sap from plants
• Usually very curious about cors, often stealing shiny objects to put on their "hoard"
• As pets, each individual is unique and has a different bond with cors.
• Their clutches vary from 2-5 eggs.

Maintenance

• They are highly adaptive to all sorts of spaces.

Habitat

• Can adapt to all sorts of habitats.
