Chapter: Trials
Upon being accepted into an academy, you will be submitted to all sorts of training, many give up on the first month with how demanding their mentors can be.
Speaking of which, mentors are usually retired scouts themselves, most scouts retire from becoming unable to continue on as one, due to age, injury, etc, with how demanding such a position is, most scouts retire before they even become seniors, that, of course, if you are lucky to get there. Most scouts sadly do not make it, with the constant dangers in the Wastelands, many are killed, go missing, or even run away.
At academies, training sessions are usually focused on endurance, strength, agility, and skill, as well as many theoretical classes, to teach all we know of the Wastelands.
It usually takes three years of training in a Scout Academy to go to trials, if you are not held back a year or more of course, those three years are divided into three grades, Lower, Middle, and Upper. Usually, if a cor repeats more than twice, they are invited to leave the academy.
Trials happen at the end of the year, upon completing the three years of training, usually, the Upper graders will be split into groups, and sent to the Mountains of Kloni, during this time of year, the mountains are known as freezing and traitorous lands, where one wrong step could lead to your demise, there those cors will be put up to test, and use everything they have learned. What's their goal? Reach the peak of the mountain, collect the flag, and come back without damaging it in three days.
Now, things become a little more complicated when there is only one flag, and usually, up to five groups of upper cors that need to catch it, being the first to catch the flag does not guarantee your victory, as the other groups may attempt to steal it by all means.
But, if you manage to bring it down, congratulations, you are officially an Aspirant.
