Marine Life Institution
Summer Events
Located on Rosea, their main mission is to share and teach about the wonders of the life the Eye of Zoïta is home to, as well as make sure the balance is maintained to the best of their capabilities, rehabilitating creatures, preserving species through programs of all kinds, pest controls, etc, it is run by Carlos!
Their most recent project is sadly small due to a lack of studies about the species, the preservation of Shrinkies.
A small species of vertebrate aquatic animals, where typically males are larger and will display brighter and more colorful scales, while females tend to be more neutral colors such as gray, etc. Srinkies require very specific temperatures and habitats for reproduction, normally they will travel to the seashore at the end of summer, with a preference for areas with lots of rocks, where using a special secretion, they will secure their eggs between the rocks after mating, the incubation of those eggs can take over four months. However illegal fishing and boat rides with little to no care about marine life have been causing their numbers to drop, as well as natural predators. However, they are essential creatures to the control of pests, such as Postinen's sea urchins! That can be extremely dangerous due to their toxins and require weekly number control dives. |
