After hearing so many rumors about the infamous Callasta library, you decided to check it out by yourself, while cors had easy internet access nowadays, a lot of information could only still be found in the ancient books and studies, safely stored inside the Callasta, even knowledge from before the raising of Postinen could be found there and, apparently, even books written by Callasta themselves.

Luckily, it was rather easy to find, being located right in the middle of the capital, with the crystallized form of Callast standing proudly right in front of the library.

It takes quite a bit of effort to push open the heavy wooden doors of the Callasta Library, they must have been at least 10 inches thick. When the door shuts behind you, all of the hustling and bustling sounds that consumed Postinen’s capital fell almost completely silent.

The massive structure you were standing in had ceilings at least three and a half stories tall, and Zoïta knows how expansive it really was. You’d think you’d cause an echoing cacophony with a single step, but the library had been specifically designed to dampen any sound in its walls.

Everywhere you look, nearly from floor to ceiling, was covered, riddled, maybe even overflowing with books. Tomes, scrolls, paper, leather, board, and thread, you could smell how ancient this place was. There were even a few lines of desks among the free standing bookshelves lined in the halls, fully stocked with quills, pencils, pens, and stacks of books on writing, worldbuilding, and story tropes.

You eventually find desk that looked like it belonged to reception, and you gently, ever so slightly, tap the bell sitting on it. The sound that it makes in this deafening quiet made you feel like your ears would bleed. And it seemed to bother another cor as well.

“Oi!”

A grizzled and gruff voice calls out from behind a thick velvet curtain behind the desk, making you jump a bit in surprise, perhaps through it lead to the library’s storage and study. After a bit of waiting and hearing the sounds of slow tapping, an old gray muzzled Cor hobbles to the desk. He sighs tiredly.

“I thought youngin’s like you hated the library…”

It seemed like this cor wasn't really the... Best, at welcoming others into his library.
