Cultivation Written Prompt

Sparky certainly wasn't expecting his day to be spent out in the yard, plucking up weeds from the ground and thinking of where to plant all of the seeds he had recieved from the older cor. 

I guess after spending an entire life in glamor and in the spotlight with his partner, he just sort of came to adore the idea of having a small garden to tend to at home instead of having to worry about future high intensity shows he was going to put on.

  Colt had explained the very basics to him.. talking about clearing the land, spreading fertilizer, and of course, watering the plants and making sure they got enough sunlight.  He actually had initially planned to have a small garden on the side of their home, but Colt had pointed out that it was a rather shady location with all of the trees around the area, which Sparky wouldn't have considered to be an issue beforehand. 

"Hey! Um.. thanks for offering to help me. I've been thinking about this garden for a while, but just haven't really had the chance to get it started." The yellow corcei speaks as he drops a few seeds into a fresh hole in the ground. 

The old man smiled at him. "Ahh, ain't a problem, son. Love showin' the newbies what they got in store for 'em when gettin' started. Lotta 'em don't realize it takes a lotta work ta get the plants growin' well."

Sparky smiles and chirps up. "My husband is a huge fan of flowers.. one of these days I'd love to set up a greenhouse or something for him, even if it's small. I've seen him have a few plants around, but I think a greenhouse would be great for both flowers and vegetables, if this goes well."

"Ah yeah, nothin' wrong with gettin' them plants growin' all year 'round. Much better than riskin' a shortage of vegetables in the winter."

  The two have a back and forth discussion, talking about different types of cultivation.. bee keeping, animals, etc. for quite a while after that. It feels nice for Sparky to be able to connect with a local without being seen as some kind of celebrity like he used to be all of the days when he was younger.
