Welcome to Callasta I (ft. Ume)

“A-ah, that’s very generous of you, but I’m actually quite happy with my look right now.” Ume stuttered out, ruffling her fur self-consciously.

Sure, her color palette stood out quite a bit, especially with her multicolored stripes, but she… thought it looked quite nice anyway?

If you ignored her scar, that is.

There weren’t any spells to fix that, though.

“Are you sure?” Clem asked, leaning in a bit. “I think the shy and dainty angel spells would fit you quite well, though.”

“I-I’m sure, thank you very much.” Ume stuttered out, with a flush. It wasn’t like she could afford it anyway.

“Alright, suit yourself.” Clem said, leaning back with a sigh.

Feeling bad for turning down the other’s offer in such a way, Ume wracked her mind to come up with something else to say, before she had an epiphany. “A-actually, one of my friends is very interested in spells, and has been complaining that one of her old ones wore off. Would it be alright if I brought her by next time?”

“Sure! I’d love to help another cor in need.” Said Clem, good-naturedly. Unknown to Ume, Clem didn’t actually mind that she hadn’t wanted to get a makeover. Using spells to change your look wasn’t for every cor, and she could respect that.

Ume breathed a sigh of relief. “Great! I’ll make sure to bring her with me next time! T-though, even if I don’t want to buy any, would you mind showing me around your shop? I’d love to see what kinds of spells you have for sale, a-and sure, maybe I don’t want to change my look now, but that might change in the future…?”

“Would I? Oh, Honey, it’d be my greatest joy to show you around my little shop. Come on, let’s start with the most popular ones!” Clem exclaimed enthusiastically, eager to show off her prized collection of wares.

It was a good day.
