Caeles looks back on her relationship with Lochlaena with exasperation more than anything else. She isn't quite sure how she managed to put up with someone twice as vain and self-centered as herself. She hasn't seen him in awhile, and feels a bit bad that she's relieved about it.

Griffith thinks Lochlaena is the most stubborn, spoiled, annoying brat in all of Postinen. He isn't sure what he did to deserve being saddled with someone so rich and out of touch with the world. He also adores Lochlaena, heart and soul, and that conflict in feeling is what makes their relationship so devastating. Unfortunately, Griffith loves him.
