When Edie comes to town every other week to pick up groceries and chat with people in town, Cypress is at the top of the list of people to visit. Edie doesn't even need the things Cypress sells very often; he just likes the companionship and misses socializing with people more regularly. The two of them are similar in personality, and they get along very well.
